Ooooh I like ALLOW. I try to practice what Dr. Ramani Durvasula calls radical acceptance when it comes to difficult people, meaning I can’t change their personalities, and it helps me. I really like ALLOW, which I feel embodies the “how” of radical acceptance. ALLOW also applies not just to the macro, like personalities, but the micro, like behaviours, beliefs and desires. It’s the antidote to reactivity and control. Let them do or say what they want—and also let me set the boundary I need to set, move to whatever distance feels safe, and turn towards the people who feel safe to me. Thank you, Jay.

Absolutely Monika. And you are always very welcome. I feel so seen through what you (all) comment.

Have you also explored Tara Brach and her books? Radical Acceptance, Radical Compassion (I also loved trusting the Gold) https://www.tarabrach.com/books/ I found them really helpful.
