Jay, I resonate with so much of what you write here, especially this: "I realize that reckoning isn’t just about confronting the difficult parts—it’s about sitting with discomfort and allowing it to teach me. In that discomfort lies the courage I’ve been seeking. It’s not about heroic acts or fearless leaps. It’s about the quiet bravery that comes from acknowledging the uncomfortable truths and embracing the path forward." I have been working at sitting with that discomfort since an "awakening" to my inner self that started in 2020, at age 60, and it's the one I've chronicled in my Substack. I have found so many wise teachers here on Substack and you seem to be one of them--I look forward to following what you're writing. The prompts and affirmations are powerful--I use both every day, for my creative writing and my self-growth, and one feeds the other.
