Embracing the Wild: My Journey of Re-Wilding and Becoming
A Journey of Reclaiming Identity, Embracing Authenticity, and Cultivating Courage in a Complex World

A very warm welcome to Wild Lion*esses Pride
This is a re-post from August 26th in my “new” space
Hello fellow travellers, dearest Lionies,
I’m Jay Siegmann, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Wild Lion*esses Pride. This space is more than just a blog; it’s a reflection of my ongoing journey—a journey of re-wilding, healing, and embracing the fullness of who I am. As someone who identifies as neurodiverse and non-binary, I’ve spent much of my life navigating the complexities of identity, resilience, and self-discovery. Today, I want to share a bit about who I am, who I aspire to be, and what drives me forward.
Who I Am
At my core, I am someone who values authenticity above all else. My life has been a series of transformations—each one a step closer to the true essence of my being. Growing up, I often felt out of place, grappling with the weight of expectations and the challenges that come with being different. But as I’ve grown, I’ve learned to see these differences not as obstacles, but as unique strengths that shape my perspective and fuel my creativity.
Photography, cooking, and traveling are my creative outlets—ways I connect with the world and express my inner landscape. Whether I’m capturing a fleeting moment through my lens, experimenting with a new recipe, or exploring a foreign market. In between stillness and meditation I am looking for impulses and new experiences help me to heal myself, evolve and finally become my-self again.
Who I Want to Become
I am on a path of re-wilding—of stripping away the layers that no longer serve me and returning to my natural, untamed self. This journey is about more than just healing from past traumas; it’s about reclaiming my power, my voice, and my truth. I aspire to become someone who lives with boldness and clarity, someone who stands up against injustice and advocates for those who are often unheard.
As I continue to evolve, I want to deepen my understanding of the world and my place within it. I’m committed to learning more about psychology, social justice, and the intersections of identity. My goal is to use this knowledge not just for personal growth, but to contribute meaningfully to the conversations and movements that matter most to me.
What Drives Me
Several forces drive me forward—curiosity, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility to make the world a better place. I am passionate about social justice and believe in the power of collective action to create meaningful change. I’m driven by the idea that each of us has a role to play in dismantling systems of oppression and building a more equitable world.
On a more personal level, I am driven by a desire to connect—with myself, with others, and with the world around me. I believe in the power of stories to heal, to inspire, and to transform, and I’m dedicated to sharing my own story in the hopes that it might resonate with others on similar paths.
Closing Thoughts
As I continue to explore and grow, I hope that this space becomes a place of connection, reflection, and inspiration for all who visit. Whether you’re here to share in my journey, to learn, or simply to find a moment of peace, I’m glad you’re here. Together, we can create a community that honors our individual journeys while supporting one another in our collective quest for authenticity, justice, and growth.
Thank you for being part of this adventure with me.
With courage and wildness,
