Jay, what lovely paths to freedom and metaphoric descriptions! I am saving you beautiful poetry and appreciate both seeing it to read later, and especially hearing it in your soothing sharing. I love the last line of accomplishment, “Just. free.” Thank you!
JP4M, that means a lot to me. I’m glad the words and their rhythm spoke to you, both on the page and in voice. "Just. free." carries so much, and I love that it resonated with you. Thank you for holding these words with care.
I had a vision ~ of all doors and appearance of barriers evaporating ~ showing them to be illusions, mirages, and a wide open vista coming into view as the veil dissipates- as I listened to you speak this. Thank you for inspiring this beautiful vision. 🌅
Jules, that vision is stunning. The idea of barriers dissolving into open space—that resonates deeply. I’m grateful my words could be part of that moment for you. Thank you for sharing it with me. 🌅
Did you write these poems? If so, your poems are in a league of their own. There are lots of great writers here on substack, but you are writing things that are very, very special. I can appreciate a lot of the prose here on substack, and I can get a lot from analyzing it, but rarely does any of the writing resonate with me in the way your writing resonates with me.
I really am totally blown away. I haven't been this excited to read poetry since I read "Howl" by Ginsberg. You have a rare gift.
yes, I wrote them—yes, those are my keys, and yes, that’s me in the video reciting.
Your words landed in me like an echo that took its time to return, and I’m still sitting with the warmth of it. I don’t take any of what you said lightly. To be read, really read, and then spoken to with that kind of clarity—it’s rare. I’m grateful.
And I am definitely in awe for you mentioning my words and Howl in the same breath or sentence.
Thank you for showing up with that much presence. It means something.
Beautiful! I am so happy to see the lightness in your face. This is possible only when we reclaim what is ours - our essential self that is whole and worthy, owing to no one. I see a new world opening to you.
Jay... I find myself without many words, as I often do when I feel I've witnessed something sacred. All I can say is I was riveted, reading your journey in poetry, seeing it all in my mind's eye. You have given us a gift that is so generous. I bow to your journey, friend.
your words reached me like the hush after a bell—full of presence, still ringing.
I held my breath reading your comment. Not out of fear, but because something sacred was being mirrored back. You saw it. You felt it. And in doing so, you gave me something I didn’t know I needed—a moment of being met.
Thank you for bowing to my journey. I bow to yours, too, friend.
Lisa, that means a lot to me. I’m grateful that you walk this journey with me and found something meaningful in it. Thank you for your kindness and presence. ❤️⭐️🙏🏻
