What I have Read in 2024
The full list of books that shaped my year from trauma work to lesbian romance and Abby Craden’s mesmerizing narrations
Reflecting on the past year, I find myself grateful for the breadth of perspectives, insights, and stories that have accompanied me. My love for lesbian romance and erotic fiction has been a source of immense joy and relaxation, especially during a year focused on trauma work and self-reflection. Most of the romances I’ve listened to have been narrated by the incredible Abby Craden. Her performances transform novels into immersive experiences, akin to radio plays, and when I close my eyes, it feels like drifting off while watching a movie that melds into my own fantasies. While I’ve also delved into non-fiction, these romances and erotic fictions have been my way to unwind and recharge. Below, I’ve compiled the list of books I’ve journeyed through over the last twelve months, each a step in my exploration of self, society, and imagination. As I reflect on these titles, I’m reminded of how they’ve been more than just stories—they’ve been lifelines, escapes, and companions through a deeply introspective year. While trauma work and self-reflection often demanded my energy, these books, particularly the romances and novels, offered a space to breathe, dream, and recharge. Listening to Abby Craden’s narrations was like experiencing a movie in my mind, blurring the line between fiction and my own inner world. I’m endlessly grateful to the authors and narrators whose creativity made this possible. If any of these titles spark your interest, I’d love to hear what they bring to your life. Here’s to another year of growth, healing, and meaningful stories.
