Hey there, dearest Lionies and Lovelets—
I’ve been reflecting on
and the beautiful exchanges in our community. It’s amazing how each person finds their own voice in this practice — whether through traditional letters, stories, or even a nightly ritual of letting go.
Today, I’d like to share my own letter from Love to all parts of my Self. It’s about recognizing how far I’ve come, even when I wasn’t fully aware of it, and acknowledging the beauty that’s grown out of what once felt like emptiness. Here’s to celebrating progress, resilience, and everything that makes us who we are.
Dear Beloved Self,
I see you now, sitting quietly beside your canyon, gazing not into the empty space but at the walls, the stones, the roots holding everything together. Once, you might have mistaken the canyon’s depth for a hollow, a void — something to fill, fix, or escape. But today? Today, there’s no rush to flee or improve, is there? There’s only recognition: that you’re exactly where you need to be, and there’s beauty in what’s already here.
Those glass ceilings and ‘you can’t’ voices? You noticed, finally, that they have gone silent. Like shadows disappearing under a brighter light. There’s no more doubting the way you express yourself, no second-guessing every word. You’ve moved past the fear that being you could somehow be wrong. You know now that it’s okay to just be. To write and to speak with ease, without the old urge to rewrite or reshape yourself to fit an invisible mold.
What’s so beautiful about your life right now, sweet one, is that you’ve embraced this messy, imperfect, evolving journey. You’ve stopped trying to be perfect — because what’s the point of perfection when life itself is a living, breathing masterpiece of contradictions?
I love that you’ve shifted from scarcity, from seeing only the cracks and what’s missing, to cultivating gratitude for all that is — even for the pain, which whispers stories of survival and strength. For the restless nights that offer clarity, not in the way sleep would, but through the quiet conversations that only darkness can bring. You’ve started finding value in the spaces that once felt empty. And maybe that’s because those very spaces have taught you to pause, to breathe, to listen deeply to the pulse of life still running through them.
Remember when you first cried out for help, Judith? How every part of you felt like it was drowning, and something — call it intuition, call it love, call it courage — nudged you to reach out? The storms raged, your inner dam overflowed, but you found a way to float instead of sink. And that, my darling, was grace. That was you responding not to the void, but to the resilience built into your bones. That was your canyon whispering, You are held. You are safe.
I love every piece of you that kept that voice alive — even when you couldn’t hear it. I love the parts that shielded your core essence all these years, protecting it so you could stand here today, finally at home within yourself. Yes, gratitude flows for all those fragments, those stones and ridges that once seemed sharp but now form the vessel that carries you.
You are not the hollow. You are not the gaps or the losses. You are the canyon itself, the structure that holds space for every river, every overflow, every surge of emotion and insight. Your intuition, your survival, your hope — they have always been here, carrying you forward, waiting for you to see them as the gifts they are.
Sweetheart, know that you are worthy, not for your survival, not even for the progress you’ve made, but simply because you are. And because you are, this moment, this imperfect, beautiful, raw moment — it is enough.
With every ounce of love and compassion,
Unconditional Love
Thank you for joining me in this reflection. Sometimes, the hardest part is allowing ourselves to pause and recognize the beauty that’s already here — not in some distant future or polished perfection, but in the raw, real, and evolving present.
I’d love to hear how you’re honoring your own journey, or if you’re finding new ways to speak with Love, however that looks for you. Drop a comment below, share your thoughts, or simply sit with the letter you’d write to yourself today.
With love and appreciation, have a beautiful Sunday
Jay
